Janice E. Johnson

Janice E. Johnson, age 78, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on February 29, 2012, surrounded by family.  She was born September 30, 1933, to the late Owen and Frances (Wright) Mullet in Millersburg, OH.  Janice will be remembered as a loving mother, who dedicated her life to her family.  She was a lifetime member of the Pataskala United Methodist Church and a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.  Janice is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Brad) Hagley; sons, Raymond (Robin) Johnson, III, Terrence (Patty) Johnson, Donald Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond R Johnson, Jr., brother, Stanley Mullet; sister, Carolyn Hepner, precede her in death.  A visitation will be held SUNDAY, March 4, 2012, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME.  Her funeral service will follow on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Sharrett officiating.  Burial in the Glen Rest Memorial Estate.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Leedean Burke

Leedean Burke, age 81, of Columbus, passed away on February 25, 2012.  She was born August 23, 1930 to the late John and Virgie (Cornett) Adams in Inez, KY.  Leedean was retired from Lucent Technologies and was a volunteer of the Pioneers.  She is survived by her son, David Burke; daughters, Kathy McKinney, Jamie Wagner; five grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.  Leedean was preceded by her husband of 33 years, James R. Chilton E. McCullum

Chilton E. McCullum, age 85, of Groveport, passed away on February 19, 2012.  He was born to the late Robert and Anna Mae (Reed) McCullum in Fleming, Kentucky on September 13, 1926.  Chilton served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific.  He was a member of the American Legion and lifetime member of the VFW Post 3738.  He was retired from Nationwide Insurance and the former manager of Dodds Bodyworks.  Chilton is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Frances J. (Schrader) McCullum; brothers, Stacey (Judy) McCullum, Emmitt (Dorothy) McCullum; sisters, Irene Hill, Sandy (Donald) Dettloff; sister-in-laws, Wanda McCullum, Kim McCullum; and many nieces & nephews. His brothers, Bob and Ronnie, preceded him in death.  Friends may call WEDNESDAY, February 22, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME.  A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Mt. Melody A. Ludwig

Melody A. Ludwig, age 65, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on February 12, 2012, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.  She was born October 30, 1946 to the late Charley and Laura (Harrington) Crawford in Columbus.  She was the former office manager at Cedar Craft Products.  Melody is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Harry R. Ludwig; children, Sharon (Andrew) Greene, Charley Ludwig; grandchildren, Keli, Amy, Chelsey, Joseph, Jeffery & Kaylee Greene, Angela Mahaffey, Jennifer Ludwig; great-grandchildren, Logan; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ludwig; brothers, Jim (Mary Jane) Crawford, David (Dollie) Crawford; sisters, Florence (John) Lauck, Janice (Robert) Dodridge; and many nieces & nephews.  In addition to her parents, her brother, Charley C. Crawford, precedes Melody.  A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, with a service starting at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim Pasma officiating.  Burial at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Friday 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LaRue Baptist Church, P.O. Ty A. DeVault

Ty Alan DeVault, age 48, of Columbus, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on February 3, 2012.  He was born on March 1, 1963 to Eddie A. DeVault and Judy A. (Newton) DeVault in Columbus.  Ty was the Manager at Bob Sumeral Tire Co. and an Adjunct Professor of Auto Repair at Columbus State.  He was a licensed baseball and softball umpire for the Ohio High School Athletic Association.  Over the past 8 years, he umpired for both Big League and Little League and was honored to umpire for the USSSA World Series at Cooperstown Stadium and the High School All-Star games.  Ty was respected and loved by all of his fellow umpires and coaches.  He will be missed and remembered forever by all who knew him.  Ty is survived by his loving wife, Diane; daughter, Audrianna DeVault; parents, Eddie, Judy; sisters, Robin DeVault, Lisa (Dave) Staten; and several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.  A visitation will be held TUESDAY, Feb. 7, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 E. Main, in Reynoldsburg.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held WEDNESDAY, 1 p.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 204 S.
