Carmel East Hospital. Born October 25, 1933 in Covington, Ky. to the late Jesse and Frances (Rapp) Marshall. Jack will be remembered for his many good works; he was in Big Brothers of America, helped many disadvantaged adults learn to read and a CAPA volunteer for the last 18 years. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and was a lifetime member of the VFW Marshall-Schildmeyer Post 6095 and American Legion Post 283. He is retired from the Groveport Post Office and an employee of J.E. Wiggins & Co. Income Tax Service. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and the U.S. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann (Whalen) Marshall; son, Paul (Pam) Marshall; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Zachary, Brooke; brothers Raymond and Jerome Marshall; sister, Peggy Marshall; and many niece & nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brothers; Donald, James, Charles, Paul, George; sisters, Shirley and Mary Jo. Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Darin Pratt officiating. He is retired from Columbia Gas after more than 30 years of service. Bill is survived by his loving children, Billijean (Gary) Ball of Somerset, Rod Patterson of Medway, Ron Patterson of Springfield, Vanessa (Andrew) Pultz of Blacklick; grandchildren, Cody, Christina and Andrea; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Gibson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Donna Jean Patterson; son-in-law, Stephen Tatman; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Doug is retired from the Columbus Dispatch, after 38 years as a pressman. He was well read; expert of WWII, American West, and his team, the Yankees. Doug is survived by his wife, Angela (Fick) Cromer; daughters, Vanessa and Catherine Cromer; mother, June; brothers, Ron and Fred (Fern) Cromer; relatives; friends; and dog, Bailey. Doug's father, Raymond, precedes him in death. A memorial gathering will be held on FRIDAY, April 13, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, with a service to immediately follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. Peggy Cromer officiating.
