History & Staff
We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History
Our family has been helping families throughout Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and Ohio for four (4) Generations. Pfeifer History begins in Germany as artisans and craftsman. In 1876, Michael Pfeifer and his family came to America on the steamship Mosel from Bremen, Germany. Like the Pfeifer family, most Volga Germans were artisans who were compelled by circumstances to devote themselves to agriculture. After settling in Victoria, Kansas, Michael Pfeifer began helping his brother-in-law, engraving limestone grave stones in the winter months. Meanwhile, our maternal great grandfather was making coffins. The Pfeifer family has seen many changes since 1951, when Mark’s uncle, James, acquired his first Funeral Home. After more than 47 years in Funeral the funeral service and ministry, James retired in 1997. Currently, Mark Pfeifer, along with several cousins continues the tradition. Pfeifer Funeral Home and Crematory opened its doors for the first time in Central Ohio to serve the public in 2005.
