Lucy Jeannette Bray, age 78, of Columbus, formerly of Crown City, went home to be with the Angels and her Lord and Savior, on December 6, 2018. Lucy was born April 2, 1940 to the late Brady and Belva (Martin) Angel in Crown City, Ohio. After graduating high school, Lucy worked at Merck Sharp & Dohme, (Merck Pharmaceuticals) in Columbus Ohio. She married Kenneth Bray of N. Little Rock, AK, while he was stationed at Lockborne Airforce Base in Columbus, with whom she shared a 37 year marriage. Lucy became a certified Psychiatric Aide II, and was employed by the State of Ohio, at Gallipolis State Insitute. She loved the outdoors, and was an avid trapper, and hunter. She loved fishing, gardening, and was adept at many things including farming, and quilting. Later in life, she earned her EMT certification, resuming her caregiving career, as a private duty caregiver, for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients in their homes. After developing Alzheimer's herself, she lived with her daughter, who cared for her, until it was necessary to transition to a secured memory care center. Forest Hills Center provided excellent care and allowed Lucy to "work" there. The genuine love from top administrators and every employee was always evident and returned by Lucy. We are so grateful to call them friends and family. Lucy was survived by her children, Jay (Mary) Bray, Lisa (Kevin) Roberts, and Jody (Debbie) Bray; her grandchildren, Hannah Bray, Noah Bray, Ritchie McDermott, Logan Potter, Brayden Roberts; great-granddaughters, Cheyenne Bray & Alana McDermott; her siblings, Brady Angel “Junior”, Roger (Vickie) Angel, Josephine (Irwin) Gibson, Barb Chambers, Pauline (Mike) Jeffers; sisters-in-law, Audrey Angel, Juanita Angell, Lynn Angel; brother-in-law, Lowen Cline Saunders; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on WEDNESDAY, December 12, 2018, from 5 -7 PM at PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, where her Service will immediately follow at 7 PM with Pastor Aaron DeLong officiating.
