Mary Jane Elizabeth Stalica, age 36, unexpectedly made the journey from her home to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born January 25, 1982 at St. Ann’s Hospital (Columbus) to Norbert and Rose Marie (Smith) Stalica. She was a 2004 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. She has worked, served, and endeared herself at many places, such as the pharmacy at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Parker Hannifin, and most recently, the Vern Riffe Center in Columbus; all under the direction of Arc Industries. She will also be missed by clergy members assigned to St. Pius X Parish over her lifetime, with whom she made a point to connect after every Mass she attended. Mary Jane enjoyed working, Tigger, watching the Disney channel, playing Special Olympics basketball, sneaking snacks with her nieces and nephews, and keeping track of family and friends’ birthdays. She was a devoted fan of Chuck Norris and Walker, Texas Ranger. She took great pleasure in coloring and was a meticulous record-keeper. Mary Jane loved to spend time with her family and friends, helping them in whatever ways she could. She is survived by her loving family: parents, Norbert and Rose; siblings - Susan (Tod) Gilmore, Norbert (Renee) Stalica, John Stalica, David (Kelly) Stalica, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Barley; nieces and nephews – Jacob (Maddie Corcoran), Karen, Christina, Daniel, Tommy, Sam, Luke, Jack, and Grace Gilmore, Ronnie Oakes, Elijah and Alexander Stalica, and Olivia Barley. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Mary (Kakareka) Stalica and Charles and Jane (Andress) Smith; nieces/nephews Jesse, Jordan, Jaden, and Jaime Gilmore. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in her memory to Special Olympics or the St. Pius X Capital Campaign. Friends may call on Thursday, January 24, from 4-8 PM at the PFIEFFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on her birthday, Friday, January 25, 2019, 10:30 AM, at the ST. PIUS X CHURCH, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, with Fr. David Young officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at church. Procession will line-up at church. Burial will follow Mass in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala.
