Obituary
Ardetta Irene Hoferkamp, age 80, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away on May 28, 2022 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Ardetta was born July 14, 1941 to the late Warren "Red" and Virginia (Morrison) Parsons in Roseville, Ohio. She enjoyed going on cruises and international travel. Ardetta loved spending time with her grandchildren who in her eyes could do no wrong. In her spare time she enjoying relaxing with a cup of coffee and a good book in hand. Ardetta was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and the Reynoldsburg Marching Band. When able she traveled and attended many robotic conventions to cheer on her grandchildren. Ardetta couldn't wait for football season so she could watch her beloved Buckeyes! She attended 38 out of 39 years of Red White and Boom. An avid fireworks watcher, she would attend 4 -6 firework shows annually. As a career and passion, Ardetta owned and operated Briarwood Wedding Chapel and Banquet Facility for several years. Ardetta is survived by her daughter, Kellie Hoferkamp; sons, Douglas (Jude) Hoferkamp, Daniel (Lori) Hoferkamp, Donald (Christie McClellan) Hoferkamp; grandchildren, Brittany Hoferkamp, Christopher Hoferkamp, Katelyn Hoferkamp, Alexandria Hoferkamp, Anthony Cavallero, Warren Cavallero and Abbygail Hoferkamp; great-grandchildren, James Hoferkamp, Felix Hoferkamp. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Hoferkamp; great-granddaughter, Ardetta Hoferkamp; brother, Roger Parsons. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM on MONDAY, June 6, 2022 at Pfeifer Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg with Pastor John Ennis officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ardetta's memory to The James Cancer Care Center at Ohio State University Medical Center.
