Charles Herbert Laskey, age 89, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away on March 8, 2021 at home. Charles was born July 22, 1931 to the late Thomas and Irene (Epperson) Laskey in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Charles married the love of his life, Lois in 1953 on Whidbey Island. Together they raised their four children and have enjoyed watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Charles retired as an Electronic Field Engineer and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was an Indian Guide, Cub Scout and Boy Scout volunteer and an eucharistic minister delivering communion to patients at Mt. Carmel East. He enjoyed road trips, cooking and grilling for many family gatherings, and photography. Chuck and Lois shared a passion for large holiday parties with their family, especially making Christmas magical for the children. He is survived by loving wife; Lois K. (Fortin) Laskey; children, Charles Laskey, Barbara (Phil) Roshon, Bradley Laskey; grandchildren, Alice (Michael), Chuck, Chris (Ginni), Josh, Jennifer (Brock), Hannah (Jacob), Sarah, Harlan (Catherine), Seth, and Emma; great-grandchildren; Gracie, Holden, Conner, Lucas, Jackson, Norah, Claire, Jacob, Evelyn, Lucy, Elijah, and Raven; and niece, Sharon. Charles was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher and Joseph Laskey; and sister, Jean Chaddock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 15, 10:30AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, with Fr. David Young officiating. Burial with honors will follow in the US Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles's memory to the Mt Carmel Hospice.
