Matthew Joseph Martinkovich, age 44, of Westerville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2020, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Matthew was born April 12, 1976, to the late Joseph Martinkovich and Pamela (Albert) Martinkovich in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Ohio when he was young. A 1994 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, Matt was a quarterback and often expressed his love of the “forever brotherhood". In 1995, Matt met Jennifer through mutual friends. Matt and Jenny were married in 1999 and welcomed their first child soon after, followed by two more. Matt was a loving father who involved his children in everything he did. From games of “tickle-tackle” to time on the golf course, hunting and fishing; Matt was never far from his family. He was quick to express his love and pride in his children – taking every opportunity to tell them that he loved them and remind them, “don’t do anything stupid". Known to many, including his Little Turtle Golf Club family, as “Snoop,” Matt was an avid golfer who also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a friend to many, the life of the party with an infectious smile, but he will be especially missed by Steve and Chris, with whom he worked closely during his 25 years at Rep Source LLC – where he started in the warehouse and worked his way up to president of the company. Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jennifer (Reelhorn) Martinkovich; beloved children, Tyler Joseph, Jacob Matthew, and Hailey Rae; siblings, Brad (Manda) Martinkovich, Steve (Brie) Martinkovich, Jennifer (Greg) Wyatt; sisters-in-law, Jamie (Chad) Greer, Jodi (Matt) Barford; in-laws, James and Shirley Reelhorn; nieces, nephews, and a large number of friends and family members. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 5-8 PM at the Pfeifer Funeral Home, Reynoldsburg. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 3-8 PM at Little Turtle Golf Club, 5400 Little Turtle Way, Westerville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 11 AM, at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E Dublin Granville Road, New Albany. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Martinkovich Children College Fund at Fifth Third Bank, 155 E. Main St. New Albany, OH 43054.
