Merle Raymond Caswell

Merle Caswell, age 92, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away at home on May 22, 2023. Merle was born July 1, 1930, to the late Vernon and Glenna (Filiere) in Bowling Green, OH. He was a member of Reynoldsburg Masonic Lodge #340, Aladdin Shrine Past Masters unit, founding member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred "Millie" of 69 years, brothers Keith (Mary) and Galen (Marilyn) Caswell. He is survived by children Cheri Newell, Larry (Anna) Caswell, and Steve (Colleen) Caswell, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at noon on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Pfeifer Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg. A Masonic funeral service will be performed by members of Reynoldsburg Lodge #340 beginning at 2pm with the service to follow with family friend Gordon Cook officiating. Following the service there will be a reception at The Reynoldsburg Masonic Lodge, 7350 Broadwyn Dr., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Merle's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children at 1 Children's Plaza 2 West, Dayton, OH 45404.
