Ray C. Handlin

Ray C. Handlin, age 86, of Pickerington, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 24, 2022 from his home with his family by his side. He was born September 10, 1935 to the late William and Ruth (Becker) Handlin in Geneseo, Kansas. He was a 1953 graduate of Geneseo High School. Ray proudly served our country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in computer repair for 30 years retiring from Sperry Univac. After retirement Ray went back to work for another 10 years with the state of Ohio department of public safety. He was a member of the smart team at Redeemer Methodist Church as well as an honorary member of the Lancaster pistol and rifle club. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Arlene Korkoske Handlin; sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Handlin and Craig Handlin; sisters, Dorothy Bellinger, Elrene Smith and Mary Lou Brown; brother, William B. Handlin, Jr. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Jacob Handlin, Daniel Handlin, Vivien Handlin and Ashley Coelho De Almeida . Ray also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Visitation will be held on THURSDAY, March 31, 2022, from 10AM - 12 PM at the Pfeifer Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Kevin Kellogg officiating. Burial will take place in Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to Capital City Hospice.
