Ray Douglas Kerns

Ray D. Kerns, age 87, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away on September 15, 2022 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Doug was born December 13, 1934 to the late Clarence and Ella (McKenzie) Kerns in Paintsville, KY. He earned his BA from Pikeville College and worked his entire career as a Math Teacher. He is retired from the Reynoldsburg City School District. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Madge; granddaughter, Alexis (Joe) McCann, grandson, Matthew (Nicole) Ross; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ryan, Acacia, and Makenzi McCann, Zayden Kerns, Gabriel, Leland, Adrian and Oliver Ross; daughter-in-law, Michele Kerns; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son, Bruce Kerns; daughter, Jane Kerns; granddaughter, Naseana Kerns; great-grandson, Kingston Kerns; his brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 11am-1pm, at the Pfeifer Funeral Home, where his Funeral Service will follow at 1pm, with Pastor Bill Hayes officiating.
