How do I put into words the loss of my brother, Bob. The little brother I fought with growing up and loved unconditionally with all of my heart. The brother who could make me so mad at times and so proud of all the time. The brother who loved his wife and soulmate to the very end. He was stubborn and opinionated but so loving, caring and compassionate. He would always lend a shoulder for me to lean on. He was complex but then down to earth, he loved nothing more than being at his country home with his beloved wife and cats. He used to tell me he didn’t like going anywhere inside of 270 and when he did, he couldn’t wait to get home again. In his younger years he was a dirt bike racer, skier, played catcher on a Columbus semi-pro softball team and was an amateur pilot. He loved Golf, Indy Car racing, the Dallas Cowboys and the Buckeyes. He said he couldn’t watch the Cowboys or the Buckeyes live on TV because he thought it would jinx them so he would record the games and watch them later. I would often see our father when I looked at him and hear our father sometimes when he spoke, but I would also see our mother in him as well. Two people who molded him into a remarkable person. Their baby boy. He has joined them in heaven wrapped in God’s love. My heart is broken, I miss you so much. Godspeed and until we meet again little brother. With all of my love, your big sister, Rose.
