Thomas James Insabella, age 70, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on October 19, 2021 at home surrounded by his family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Tom was born July 13, 1951 to the late Thomas and Angelina (Balsamo) Insabella in East Orange, NJ. As a young boy one of his favorite hobbies amongst many was crabbing on the Jersey Shore. He would catch as many as he could in the bucket and bring them home so his nana could make pasta and crabs, a family favorite Sunday meal. He grew up playing soccer throughout his childhood and into college. Shortly after, he moved with his family from New Jersey to Florida where he held many positions during his career with Luria's and Mills Pride. Tom and his family moved from Florida to Ohio in 2003, the same year Ohio State beat his favorite team the Miami Hurricanes in the National Championship. He became a Kitchen Designer with Home Depot and spent 12 years there before he retired in January 2021. Tom loved eating pizza, watching football and playing sports. One of his favorite sports was softball where he was a player, a coach and a fan of his younger daughter Kristina. He also loved to golf and fish. He was an avid Blue Jackets fan. Tom traveled often to Florida to spend time with his oldest daughter's (Jennifer) family, sisters and lifelong friends. While in Florida, he loved teaching his granddaughter Isabella how to fish.
