Wayne J Carter

Wayne J Carter, age 93, of Etna, Ohio, passed away on April 29, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Wayne was born April 11, 1930, to the late Clodie and Naomi (Watson) Carter in Columbus, Ohio.

Wayne served in the Army during the Korean War earning the Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Service Stars. He was a lifelong Truck Driver retiring from Signal Delivery after twenty plus years of service. Wayne was a member of the Teamsters Union as well as the VFW. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his son Dale Carter of Logan; his sisters Betty Plybon and Edna Perry, both of Obetz; his brothers Virgil Carter of Etna, and Kenneth Carter of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clodie Carter and Naomi Carter, and his wife Helen Carter and son David Carter.

A Visitation will be held on FRIDAY, May 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pfeifer Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on SATURDAY, May 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Brue officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Rest Memorial Estates in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
